Bioresmethrin fumes against flying insects in rooms

In investigations with caged mosquitoes in a room in Czechoslovakia, the fumes from a dispenser ('frankincense') impregnated with 1 droplet (0.0234 ml) of bioresmethrin did not kill all the adult females of Culex pipiens L. in 1 or 2 h. Exposure to the fumes from 3 droplets killed all the mosquitoes in 2 h, even when impregnation of the dispenser had taken place one week before its use. Several adults of Musca domestica L. that were present in the room during one experiment were knocked down after several minutes, and all were killed within 1 h.
