In 1972-1977, 25,240 snails of 12 species were examined in Malaysia and Singapore for digenean larvae. Lymnaea rubiginosa, Indoplanorbis exustus, Melanoides tuberculata and Bellamya sumatrensis formed 40.96, 31.20, 11.99 and 9.24%, respectively, of the total number of snails collected; no other species comprised more than 3%. A host-parasite list and data on incidence of infection are presented. Several species of medical and veterinary importance were recovered; one cyathocotylid from B. sumatrensis is new and will be described elsewhere.
