Leiomyosarcomas of the kidney are rare neoplasms and constitute a major component of the 1-3.3% of the sarcomas that occur in the kidney. In a complete review of world literature, 68 patients with this neoplasm were found, 5 of whom were from India. One more case was added to this series and a characterization of this tumor from the clinical and pathological data was attempted.
