Injection of complex-forming agents into animals [dog, cat, rabbit, rat, golden hamster, mouse] leads to the development of an intravital histochemical reaction with Zn and to consequent cell alteration. A correlation between the intensity of the reaction and the stability and degree of the cell destruction was established. Zn blocking may be 1 of the causes of cell alteration.
