In 22 dogs under morphine-chloralose-urethane narcosis, angiotensin was introduced in 0.1-2 .mu.g doses into the vessels of the hind limb, heart, kidney and brain. The vasoconstrictor effect upon introduction of angiotensin in equal doses is different, with the greatest effect appearing in the hind limb vessels and the least, in the brain vessels. The analysis of vasomotor reactions by means of 2 methods of perfusion (with constant volume and pressure) showed that the difference in the vascular wall extension in response to the elevation of intravascular pressure may be 1 of the reasons for different development of the vasomotor reactions in different regions. Such inhomogeneity in responses of vessels in different organs may play a definite part in blood flow redistribution with angiotensin hypertension.
