Stimulation of anterior and middle zones of gyrus cinguli in the dog caused some changes in ion and protein composition in plasma and lymph. These changes were significant, uneven and often of different directions (variability in different experiments and time). Stimulation of gyrus cinguli may cause an inbalance of nervous homeostatic mechanisms (possibly hypothalamic).
