Average absolute number of cells in the green monkey kidney was estimated by counting in 100 fields randomly dispersed in the preparations of the minced kidney. The number of the cells in 1 volume unit fluctuated much less (KB = 14%) than the volume values of the kidney (KB = 20%) and absolute number of the cells in the organ (KB = 28%).
