The in vitro effect of transfer factor (TF) and its fractions obtained by gel filtration was studied on the active rosettes and leukocyte migration inhibition. TF and 1 fraction (IV) restored the reactivity of lymphocytes from tumor-bearing patients to tuberculin and Candida antigens in the leukocyte migration assay. TF and fraction IV enhanced the number of active rosettes of tumor-bearing patients; no such effect was observed on lymphocytes of patients with active SLE or controls.
