Action of chlorophos and Neguvon on Argulus foliaceus and Dactylogyrus extensus in carp

Carp tolerated immersion in 2% Neguvon solution for 60 min. and 5% for 10 min.; also 2% chlorofos (a Russian formulation of trichlorphon) for 20 min. and 5% for 3 min. Higher concentrations or longer exposures were toxic. Both formulations were highly effective at safe concentrations against the trematode Dactylogyrus and the crustacean Argulus. Low concentrations (0.1% for 24 hours, 0.01% for 48 h) were also generally effective.
