Modification of umbilical plastic clamp to secure nasopharyngeal prongs used to administer CPAP

The clamp is a Hollister plastic umbilical clamp with 2 central holes drilled side by side, large enough to accommodate the 2 nasal prongs. By utilizing both Gregory's original technique for securing endotracheal tubes and Cussel's modification, this technique was superior to conventional methods previously used. The prongs held securely in place and skin irritation from excessive tape and impairment of the nasal airways are kept to a minimum while allowing a method of easy replacement when required.
