Levamisole in treatment of Capillaria aerophilla in a cat. (A case report)

A kitten infected with Capillaria aerophila which had not responded to treatment with dichlorvos was injected subcutaneously with 7.5 mg of levamisole in the evening, repeated the next morning. 2 weeks later, a single dose of 15 mg was given. No coughing was observed after the last injection and faecal examinations were negative for lungworm eggs.
