The present importance of streptococcal pathology implicates the identification of the streptococcal groups. The authors have carried out a comparative study of the various methods of extraction of the group specific antigen. They demonstrated the advantages and disadvantages of each method and consider the pronase extraction method to be the simplest, the most rapid and the most specific.
