To the category of hazardous goods belong substances that present explosion, fire, corrosion and other dangers for transportation facilities, industrial buildings and engineering edificies in the USSR. Transport regulations and government standards assign secondary importance to a possible danger of such goods for man. A complex classification of hazardous goods with a set of special tags for various kinds of them carried by different types of transport facilities was compiled proceeding from current sanitary and hygienic standpoints. The integral informative designations made in this classification and the tags' system covering all transportable chemical goods helps workers to pattern their behavior on a proper choice of pertinent preventive and medical measures.
