A Note on Xiphinema ensiculiferum

Females, juveniles and a single male of Xiphinema ensiculiferum are described from tea and wild banana soils in West Malaysia. The male, described here for the first time, has these dimensions: L = 1.64 mm; a = 27; 1 = 3.9; c = 66; odontostyle = 140 mu m; spear extension = 74 mu m; spicules = 65 mu m; lateral guiding piece = 20 mu m; an adanal pair and three ventromedian supplements were observed. Measurements and brief descriptions are given of females, L2, L3 and L4 juveniles.
