Between 1961-1962 the author examined 1,016 girls, aged 12-18 years. Special attention was paid to the peculiarities of sexual development depending on environmental conditions, sustained diseases, conditions of school tuition, also subject to assessment was the character and frequency of disorders of the menstrual function, anthropometric measurements (weight, height, circumference of the chest, measurements of the pelvis), X-ray and fluorographic studies.
