In a random sample of new students of Cairo University normal males showed a significant difference from normal females in stature, ponderal index, cromic index (sitting height/stature X 100) and blood Hb. The incidence of parasitic infection was high among students, 40% among females and 36% among males. The males with parasitic infection showed significant differences from normal in stature and cromic index.
