The development of patients with respiratory appeared in the October, equipment for the care and treatment of acute poliomyelitis involvement was described in Part I of this report, which 1950, issue of the Annals of Western Medicine and Surgery. To ascertain the relative effectiveness of this equipment as compared with that previously in use, the studies presented in Part II were made. The extensive nature of this report makes it impractical to write a brief summary or conclusion. Each section, therefore, has been made complete and clinical experience or other conclusions have been incorporated within each section. This research produced many changes in the equipment and technic for treatment that have proven valuable in maintaining and rehabilitating poliomyelitis patients with respiratory involvement. Much further work and evaluation remain to be done.
