Arboviruses in Finland: models for arctic arboviruses and viral structure

A list is given of the arboviruses that have been isolated in Finland, together with the name of the vector, where known, the vertebrate species from which antibodies have been obtained, association with human disease, if any, and the authority. Work so far done in Finland on the ecology and structure of these arboviruses and some aspects of the most pertinent problems in arbovirus research that await solution are discussed.
