The judicious use of small doses of estrogen, or a combination of estrogen and testosterone in the geriatric patient, is indicated in women who show clinical evidence of being advanced beyond their years or who have multiple complaints suggestive of osteoporosis and various degenerative processes which are causing symptoms. Patients should be treated as individuals. A universal rule should not apply to all patients.
