The conditions were studied for hydrolysis of different polysaccharides of B. faecalis alcaligenes (Alcaligenes faecalis), strain 6. Different polysaccharides require different times of hydrolysis to establish the maximal amount of reducing sugars contained in them. Sequences of individual monoses splitting off in acidic hydrolysis were studied. A ratio of the polysaccharide amount to acid volume in hydrolysis considerably affect the content of individual monoses in the hydrolysate at a definite moment of hydrolysis.
