Data are given on the incidence of tick-borne relapsing fever [caused by Borrelia spp.] in the Oshk region of Kirgizia (Soviet Union) in 1960-72 and on the numbers of ticks found in dwellings and other places. It is considered that the incidence would rise if the present control measures were relaxed and that the disease could be completely eradicated by instituting effective measures.
