In a survey of case records to study the relationship of treatment with Bendectin o during the first trimester of pregnancy and congenital abnormalities, each treated patient was matched with a control whose time of pregnancy was approximately the same and who was delivered by the same physician in the same hospital. The difference between 21 abnormalities in the control group and 11 in the treated group was not significant (P>.10).
