Fifty-five cases (11%) of all tumour cases observed during the period 1963 to 1973 had transmissible venereal tumor. There were no sex, breed or age differences. In three male dogs there were extragenital lesions without genital involvement. In one Labrador bitch there were genital as well as extragenital lesions. The same animal showed recurrence and absence of regression. Metastasis to the regional lymph nodes was observed in five cases only.
