Increasing lightning losses, higher liability and spiraling costs call for more stringent lightning protection specifications as well as proof of the qualifications of individuals who install and maintain such systems. With more opportunity to sustain significant losses, the relative cost of a well-installed and maintained lightning protection system is a good investment.
