This study reports the results of an epidemiological study on hypertension and a supervising physician-based trial in Finnish community health centre. It was found that only half of the male hypertensives were receiving treatment and it was adequate in only a few. Obesity and smoking was common among hypertensives. It is believed that the supervising physician based system leads to favourable results in the treatment of community health centre patients.
