Laryngeal fistula in cattle

Two cases of traumatic laryngitis in cattle with fistula to the oesophagus are described. Severe inspiratory dyspnoea was a characteristic symptom, but tracheotomy relieved the condition immediately. The extended clinical examination included papation of larynx through the mouth and examination through a laryngofissure. Both cases are assumed to be due to a sharp foreign body.
