The paper presents opportunities how can be used selected tumor markers in clinical practice. This kind of substances are usually helpful in monitoring therapy effects and follow-up patient after using proper treatment. Due to the limited sensitivity and specificity must be considered together with clinical and imaging studies. It should be remembered, that condensation of tumor markers shouldn't be evaluated in case of using them in several check up asymptomatic patients.
