Moderate-intensity physical activities not only reduce the mortality from cardiovascular disease but also all-cause mortality. Mechanism by which moderate-intensity physical activity prevent atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease has become increasingly clear. Atherosclerosis has been confirmed as an inflammatory disease and increased levels of C-reactive protein have been associated with atherosclerosis. This review will examine how physical activities protect from atherosclerosis from the perspective of vascular inflammation.
