The expression of rag-1 of Porphyromonas gingivalis in different periodontal inflamed conditions

To analyse the expression of rag-1 of Porphyromonas gingivalis (P.gingivalis) in different periodontal inflamed conditions. 150 subgingival plaque samples were collected from chronic periodontitis patients. The presence of P.gingivalis and rag-1 was determined by PCR. mRNA level of rag-1 was assessed in P. gingivalis rag-1 positive samples by RT-PCR. The mRNA level of rag-1 was 1.19+/-0.06, 0.46+/-0.05 and 2.22+/-0.10(P<0.05) respectively at the mild, moderate and severe inflammation sites. mRNA level of rag-1 may be changed with the different clinical periodontal inflamed condition.
