A method of an autoradiographical background reduction, uses H2O2 steam. Liquid nucleus emulsion type "M" (NIICHIMPHOTOPROEKT, Moscow) was used. A treatment for 4-6 days decreased the background by 90-94%. Further exposure under ordinary conditions did not lead to essential background rise. The autoradiographic exposure to H2O2 atmosphere did not prevent grain count increase over labeled cells after further exposure under ordinary conditions. Direct contact of emulsion with liquid H2O2 led to essential background rise.
