Treatment of bipolar disorder, restless legs syndrome and parkinsonian symptoms using lamotrigine: a report of seven patients

These seven patients with mild to moderate symptoms of mixed bipolar disorder demonstrated a broad spectrum of physical and emotional symptoms including restless legs syndrome and parkinsonian symptoms. In these case patients, lamotrigine treated the psychiatric symptoms, RLS and the parkinsonian symptoms including bruxism, jaw clamping and possibly night sweats. To the best of my knowledge this association has not been previously reported.
