Content of some B group vitamins in yeasts of the genus Sporobolomyces

Vitamins were estimated microbiologically in 11 strains of Sporobolomyces of several origins. Nicotinic acid ranged from 58.3 to 279.5 mu g/g, pantothenic acid from 13.8 to 342.4 and myoinositol from 1256 to 5264 mu g/g dry weight. Nicotinic acid and myoinositol contents were higher than in 2 strains of Candida grown commercially.
