From the standpoint of holistic respiratory care for patients with COPD, team medicine by various kinds of occupations are required. Patient education and guidance are very important at the introduction of HOT and HMV. Moreover, for smooth and safe home respiratory care, local health care network is essential. We secure nursing visit and local physicians as much as possible in order to confirm adherence after starting home care and for early discovery of problems. Delicate care through a local health care network is important. However there is insufficiency regarding the establishment of local health care network, so it should be improved immediately.
