This paper presents a study on the in vitro availability of antimalarial drugs, mefloquine, pyrimethamine, and sulfadoxine in the presence of the antacid, omeprazole, in simulated gastric juice at pH 7.4 and 9. The Gibb's free energy and entropy/enthalpy of antimalarial interactions with omeprazole are discussed. The effects of dissolution mediums and temperature on these interactions are also discussed.
