This study investigated the adhesion of C. albicans to 3 acrylic resins, which are usually used to fabricate removable dentures. Polished and non-polished resin samples were exposed to C. albicans precipitates. After 24 h of incubation, Lucitone 199 resin had the highest level of adhered C. albicans cells, while fewer were observed on Zhermacryl resin and fewer still on Palaxpress resin. C. albicans showed higher adhesion to non-polished than polished resin samples. The adhesion intensity further increased after 48 h of incubation.
