A simple test for the quantitative assessment of the degree of depression worked out by Zung and al. in 1965 is briefly described. This test makes a quick evaluation of the therapeutic effects of antidepression treatment possible in out-patients. For its simplicity it may be recommended even to doctors without special psychiatrical erudition, the detailed classification and assessment of depression remaining the task of the specialist - psychiatrist. The improvement of depression in patients with migraine treated by a new antimigraine drug with a prophylactc effect, called Sandomigran is pointed out.
