A 13-year-old boy presented with a headache that he had been experiencing for the past three months [India]. The headache was described as insidious, localized to the right temporal and frontal region and present throughout the day. Physical, biochemical and cytological findings were normal. A computed tomography (CT) scan of the cranium showed a small hypodense lesion in the right lateral sinus with a hyperdense nodule within, suggestive of lateral sinus thrombosis. On magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the right lateral sinus showed a lesion occupying a small space. The patient was treated with albendazole (15 mg/kg/day) orally for 28 days. The patient was monitored for one week and then discharged from the hospital. After three months, repeat CT and MRI of the patient were normal.
