Ethno medical study of plants used for terminating pregnancy

The rural population of Sitapur and Aligarh districts of Northern India has long been using Achyranthus aspera, Anona squamosa, Nigella sativa and Plumbago zeylanica for terminating pregnancy. Recipes with suitable doses and manner of use have been described. Relative success of the suggested use of these plants in the areas of survey has also been reported in this communication.
