Size of the ovaries and uterus at the age of puberty (based on gynecographic data)

Data on determination of sizes of the ovaries and uterus in 106 practically healthy girls, aged from 13 to 20 years, are summarized. It has been found that the growth of the ovaries is observed till the end of the pubertal period (1617 years) and the gr owth of the uterus - for a more prolonged period (up to 19 years). Comparison of roentgenological sizes of the uterus in the norm and in gynecological diseases assists to make a more precise definition of a degree of involvement of these organs into a pathological process and to choose rational methods of therapy,
