Sera from 67 cases of abortion and from 75 normal pregnancies were tested for Toxoplasma antibodies by indirect haemagglutination, and at a titre of 1:64 or more 19 and one from the 2 respective groups were positive. 8 of the 44 cases of sporadic abortion were positive as were 11 of 23 cases of habitual abortion. At a titre of 1:200 or more only one woman, with a history of habitual abortion, was positive. One patient with habitual abortion showed a rising titre from 1:128 to 1:1024.
