Severe cutaneous drug reactions: case reports

This paper describes 2 patients with obviously drug-induced toxic cutaneous reactions. The drugs responsible were procaine penicillin and the tuberculostatic drug thiacetaxone (component of TB 450). Both patients showed a severe and toxic course with extensive affection of the body surface. Intensive treatment with high-dose prednisolone, electrolyte substitution and local management of skin lesions was successful in both patients.
