Having seen recently a case of apparently primary rectal tuberculosis in a young agricultural worker, we feel this case is of interest owing to the quite exceptional occurrence these days of tuberculosis in this position. The differential diagnosis is sometimes difficult, and early antibiotic treatment is necessary in order to obtain a complete cure.
