A lactating Holstein-Friesian cow received a single oral dose of 280 mCi tritiated water, and milk, urine, faecal and blood samples were taken at intervals afterwards. Recovery of water tritium in milk was 3.78% after 24 h and decreased to 1.37% after 144 h; total 144-h recovery was 15.06%. Concn. of organically-bound 3H (disintegrations/min/g) in freeze-dried residues of milk decreased from 4.27 x 105 on day 1 after dosage to 3.19 x 102 on day 71.
