Four patients, 1 with gastric tuberculosis, 2 with pyloric tuberculosis and all 4 with duodenal tuberculosis, diagnosed surgically and endoscopically, are presented. The difficulties encountered in making a specific diagnosis, and the importance of tuberculosis in the differential diagnosis of peptic ulcer and gastric carcinoma, where tuberculosis is still common, are pointed out.
