Rates of poliomyelitis and tetanus toxoid vaccinations were the highest in the pre-school age group and in the age group of 15-44 yr, respectively. The rate of non-immunized persons decreased with increasing age. The rates of all immunizations increased with the rise in educational and economic status. Immunization practices were less prevalent among Harijans than in non-Harijans. These rates were higher in the group with good environmental sanitation status.
