Considering current knowledge on pathogenesis of lower limb chronic venous insufficiency, the authors substantiate the necessity of drug therapy in phlebological practice. The use of combined drug Ginkor Fort - representative of a new polyvalent venotonics - is described. The need of large-scale clinical trials with adequate objective control is stressed.
