Metabolism of injectable formulations of contraceptive steroids in obese and thin women

Blood levels of the injectable contraceptives, Depo-Provera and Norigest, were studied in groups of obese and thin women. From an analysis of the straight lines obtained by plotting the logarithm of the serum steroid concentration against time after injection, there was no difference between the obese and thin women in the blood levels of the contraceptive steroids nor was there any difference in the rate of return of ovarian follicular and luteal function.
