With improved survival of cancer patients, the issue of fertility after treatment assumes greater importance. Consideration of fertility preserving measures before treatment needs to be considered. To discuss an approach to management of fertility issues in survivors of cancer. Sensitive early counselling on fertility options is important to cancer survivors hoping to achieve a pregnancy. Assessment of fertility, the safety of a possible pregnancy and the impact of cancer treatments on future fertility treatments all need to be considered.
