Small-vol. applications of captan (2 lb 50% a.i./100 gal) or dodine acetate (0.75 lb. 65% a.i./100 gal) applied at 50 gal/acre gave control of Venturia inaequalis equal to the same dilution applied by a large-vol. machine at 200 gal/acre. b. Under conditions of heavy scab infection the best control with a limited number of sprays was given by large-vol. applications of dodine (0.75 lb. 65% a.i./100 gal) at 200 gal/acre.
