The diverse structures from mouse spermatids and spermatozoa were dissociated and observed under electron microscopy by means of simple methods. The capacity for microtubule (MT) polymerization induction of these structures was tested, using brain MT protein. A great amount of newly polymerized MT appears attached to various neck structures (proximal and distal centrioles and centriolar adjunct) from spermatids and spermatozoa, which appears as true MT organizing centers.
